Every other month one of the 6 islands of the PCC do a devotional at 8 am on Saturday morning for just the seniors. This morning it was the village of Tahiti that did the devotional. We started with the flag-raising and the choir sang the Tahiti national anthem.
Then we went inside a large open air building for the devotional.
Choose the Right
The President of the PCC - Pres. Alfred Grace from New Zealand spoke as well as several of the band and chorus who work at the Tahitian village and are BYUH students.
After, they served us fruit for refreshments!
And then a wonderful tender mercy. We got to meet Elder Robert E. Lee and his wife! Roger and Elder Lee were missionary companions in 1968 in the Salt Lake Mission home. ( before there was an MTC )
Both left the Mission Home and went down to BYU to the LTM - language training mission - to learn French for 6 weeks - then both went on to France to serve their missions. Elder Lee’s first wife died about a year and a half ago - and then he remarried this wife and they both came on a mission here. They just arrived this transfer and will be teaching religion at BYUH. What a fun reunion!

What a small world. Brother Lee was the high counsel man assigned to a wet behind the ears Bishop Rose back in 1997 in Raleigh NC.
