Tuesday, July 4, 2023- Happy July the 4th !

We started the day with a very welcome picture of Zach. He had surgery on his knee on June 30 and this picture of him standing with his crutches in meant he was doing a whole lot better. He really tore up his knee and he has all the stitches to prove it!

Later that day we had our district over for a potluck dinner out on our deck!  We BBQ’d hamburgers, people brought baked beans and potato salad, and chips and drink. We also had homemade ice cream!  We originally just had our district, but then the Cannons brought their district and we had desert and then moved our chairs out the the head of our driveway to watch the PCC fireworks across the road all together!

LtoR- Jim and Shari Craghead, Kelly and James Mason, and Stacy Duncan- in the other district

These are the Be sons….brand new in our district….turns out his sister is Fayonne Rigby who we served with in France!!!

The Cannon’s district - LtoR- Dan and Stacy Duncan, Sherrie f Grant Cannon, and Jim and Erin Curtis- who we knew from our last mission working with the Missionary Dept.

Then we lined up for the fireworks show….

Sadly, after only 3 minutes of fireworks, they suddenly stopped!  We found out later that some of the stands that held the fireworks fell over and was shooting fireworks into dangerous places, so they had to shut down the whole show! Bummer!d
We DID get one nice one with the temple in the background, tho-
