July 15- heading for Shark’s Cove

Today we headed for Shark’s cove and points beyond.  On the way, we had to make a stop at the famous Ted’s Bakery!

We went for breakfast, but, of course they ARE famous for their chocolate haupia pie……which were $4.00 a slice. But we saw a whole pie which was only $20. - so, we just bought a whole pie and cut it into 8 pieces.!  So good!!!

For breakfast we had some great dishes. Michelle got an Açaí bowl….Dad & I split a wonderful bacon, egg, and cheese croissant.

Then we headed for Shark’s Cove for do some snorkeling. There are tide pools to explore, and a very rocky shore of coral and lava rock, and some good snorkeling.

Then we went down to Lanaikea Beach to see the sea turtles. The sea turtles we saw were about 20 years old, but they live to be 60 or 70 years old!
