We felt blessed to not have left in March because we also were able to attend the funerals of two good friends:   Leila Shepherd -  wife of Kent Shepherd. Kent was a missionary back in Ohio when Roger was growing up and when we came to BYU as newly marrieds, they took us under their wing and fed us, and gave us food, and sew for our first baby Layne.

And Todd Britsch - who was Chad Monroe’s uncle and our first Bishop in our married student ward at BYU!
