The man who does all the lawn care and maintenance for the house behind us is Pula. He is a member in the Samoan ward here. He is such a good man! He is very hard working and every time we see him we stop to talk and tell him thank you! He owns a farm where they grow bananas and often he will bring us some fresh picked ones!
Recently he saw us down by our beach access trying to build some steps out of the cinder blocks that wash up on our beach. ( it is sort of a no win situation since every time the tide comes in, it washes some of our construction away.). But Pula saw all this and said, I have some steps I will give you.So he brought two long HEAVY cement steps for the very top of the area. He and Roger heaved them into place. Then his wife came and we got to meet her. What good people there are in the world!!
