The Saturday just before transfers, everyone gathers in the large theater of the visitor center and they have Transfer News. All the missionaries are there. ( remember, it is only currently around 65 sisters and 10 elders) The AP elders will conduct a slideshow presentation showing all of the transfers, and new leadership assignments. It is a kind of fun way to find out! Then we go outside and sing Aloha Oe to all those departing and put leis around their necks. Our two Elders had left previously in the week. ( usually elders go back to their original mission of Honolulu and leave from there, but those two were the first to leave from our mission,) To ignited we sent ho e two wonderful sisters.Sr. Bahin and Sr. Jessup. They are hoping to come back in Jan. To go to BYU Hawaii, so they had come to our house to drop off a big bin of things. Then tonight we sang to them, They actually fly out on Tues. but everyone is together for Transfer News, so they do the Aloha Oe then,
Top: Sr. Jessup on left and Sr. Bahin on right. Bottom is reversed. It is starting to get harder now that we are getting to know our sisters better. Each time we send some home it really tugs at the heartstrings!
