Every Monday and Friday a big pickup truck comes to the VC with food. Sometimes it is leftovers from the luaus at the PCC and sometimes it is from our local grocery store Foodland and it’s sell by date has expired. They also give this food to the married student housing folks. Some of it is good, some not so good, some horrible. We have to go out and kind of sort through what we will take for the sisters. When it is packaged in the clear plastic boxes, or is juice, or fruit, we usually will take some of it. This day they came with VERY ripe bananas. The sisters were all thrilled! Two sisters, Srs. . Reber and Eastman made some banana bread and brought us some!
They are the best!!! We gave their plate back with a small box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts on it to thank them!
